As a father of three, my greatest pride has never come from a scoreboard.
It’s come from watching my kids grow into who they are meant to be.
Each of them carries their own spark—their own strengths, their own story.
But they’ve all taught me something I can’t ignore:
When young people are given the right environment, they rise.
That truth became deeply personal through my daughter, Jacqui.
For her, football became more than a sport.
It became a place where she could rebuild—where she found confidence again, rediscovered joy, and began to step into her voice.
I watched her grow into a leader—not because life was easy,
but because she faced challenges that forced her to become one.
And as a father, there’s nothing easy about watching your child go through that.
But there’s something powerful about watching them rise.
Through her journey, something shifted in me.
I realized that what sport gave my daughter—
confidence, discipline, resilience, and community—
is exactly what so many girls are still searching for.
And what they deserve.
So we built HER is US.
Not as a program.
Not as a moment.
But as a commitment.
To create real access.
To build real development.
To open real pathways for girls who are ready—but too often overlooked.
I’ve watched girls go from quiet to confident.
From uncertain to unshakable.
From unseen to leading.
And every time an athlete steps onto the field with belief in herself,
I’m reminded why this work matters.
Because when a girl is given the chance to rise,
she doesn’t just change her life—
she changes everything around her.
This is the heart behind HER is US.
And we’re just getting started.
With purpose,
Jose Sanchez
